What does `misc:animate_manual_resizes` and `misc:session_lock_xray` does?

What these do? How can i see the effects?

  • animate_manual_resizes: If true, will animate manual window resizes/moves
  • session_lock_xray: if true, keep rendering workspaces below your lockscreen

Enable them.

Session lock xray is quite self-explanatory, while manual resizes refers to manual resizes with the mouse (mod + right mouse button)

Sorry my bad should have been more clear and given more info.

for session_lock_xray, i set it to true and ran sleep 5; change-wallpaper-script and then i locked the screen, but when i unlock the screen thats when the workspace wallpaper gets updated.

I was assuming that it would keep things updated behind lock_screen so that when i unlock the screen i won’t get sudden content change jump transistion.

For animate_manual_resizes = true, i have recording , but tldr i don’t feel any animation difference wither its true or false 2026-01-30 07-27-48.mp4 ~ pixeldrain
