Touchscreen only detecting one finger

I have hyprland installed on my Lenovo thinkpad X13 Yoga, which does have a touchscreen.

I know the touchscreen works, since i had no issues with it on cinnamon X11 before.

on hyprland tho, it only ever detects the first finger touch input. which to be fair works great, but it doesnt detect a second finger. using wev i can see the movement of finger one, but no output from the second touched finger at all. I would love to use my touchscreen to its full extend again, so i would appreciate any help or ideas on how to solve this!

Can you check if you can finger pinch zoom in firefox? I know that works for sure on my laptop, so if it doesn’t on your end it might be a driver / hw issue.

i cannot. the second finger just isnt detected at all. im sure it isnt hw issue, because it worked on this laptop on a different environment. (cinnamon X11). thats why i come here, because the only change i made is to use hyprland now.

X11? Can you try something wayland, like KDE? X11 uses XInput iirc while on wayland we use libinput

I’ve just installed KDE plasma to test, and i can confirm it isnt working either. so it must be a libinput issue
