Tiles don't consistently spawn to the right

Hyprland version 54.2

In will have one program open and maximized on my workspace. When I spawn a new window/tile

Expected Behavior: The newly spawned window opens on the right half of the screen pushing the original program to the left half of the screen.
Actual Behavior: The newly spawned window sometimes opens on the right half of the screen pushing the original program to the left half of the screen. And sometimes the newly spawned window opens on the left half of the screen pushing the original program to the right half of the screen.

How do I get the newly spawned window to always open to the right half of the screen? It seems like a bug (or is it called a regression) since this never happened before 54.2, but maybe it’s a new design change that is intended?

I am guessing this is dwindle layout?

Check the force split setting Default is 0 so depending on mouse location it will split right or left You can force it to do left or right
