Seeing the forums alive hit me with nostalgia quite a bit, so here’s a feature request: Customizable signatures or userbars (for hyprperks supporters? 
).
Rendering them could be toggleable in settings not to piss off anyone who doesn’t want bloat in their forums.
fwiw discourse does have a plugin that adds them.
I don’t think you would be able to gate them behind hyprperks or anything though.
Is this something discourse offers? I can’t really magically spawn in features.
I could write it myself but with my zero experience in discourse plugins it would take a while…
edit: I see the plugin above, but yeah, if we can’t gate it, it might be annoying
The plugin has opt-in visibility by default, and is MIT Licenced Open Source, so you could fork it and write your own feature gate if it’s requested enough.
These, decades ago, made me pirate and open Photoshop for the first time as a kid to make them. Good times.
I hate signatures on emails, but forums without them seem lifeless and empty. Same goes for fancy username, user titles, and stuff like that. Discourse in general is lacking a lot in the “forum vibe” department, but that’s a topic for another day.
I’ve added the plugin, and it’s available to everyone. Maybe in the future I’ll add “bonus” things to hyprperks users, like nickname effects, or something.
