Motion blur has some serious issues with disabled animations and transparent windows.
Disabling animations results in a very low quality, buggy looking motion blur that almost looks like it’s trying to follow the animation that was disabled.
Transparent windows, be it native transparency(ghostty), or opaque < 1(obsidian), result in a lot of flickering.
This does not appear to be related to blur/shadow as disabling either didn’t solve the issue.
Here’s a video that shows both of these issues:

PR does indeed fix the opacity issues I had.
No animations thing is still present, but that’s unrelated and probably expected.
Thanks for such a quick fix!
I actually did some more testing, and there is still a flash with both motion blur and wobble if a window is not opaque.
Like while the effect lasts, the window will be slightly darkened.
I have a samsung odyssey neo g9 49", which is VA afaik, but I disabled adaptive sync, variable refresh rate, black equalization and any other feature that could cause visual glitches.
How is this issue related to my panel type when literally nothing else causes it?
As you might have heard, it doesn’t only appear because of the Adaptive Sync, it’s VA monitors common issue. It could be VRR Flicker or something else. Anyways, I recommend trying on other displays or if you are totally sure, you could record it with software like OBS and watch it from your phone or any other device to see if it’s really the Hyprlands rendering issue. And also you said that you faced the issue again, but didn’t send the video.
Yeah but you said that the PR fixed the issue n than said about the flickering again, so you didn’t mention if it was the same or different, or showed the issue exactly. That’s what I meant.
