I used to be subscribed to the official dots, and I really liked them.
I had one issue which was that GUIs that needed a password (such as BTRFS-Assistant and FirewallD) would crash. I believe it was due to some missing environment variables.
I was thinking of subscribing again but I was wondering if this was addressed?
I’ve never seen that problem. Are you sure you have a polkit daemon running?
It’s been a while so I cannot remember on top of my head, but I do remember needing to check polkit policies when I was trying to troubleshoot it.
It was a while ago so I will try it again and see if that is no longer an issue.
Aside from that there is something about how you guys set up Hyrpland that for me works really well. It’s like sane defaults but not insanely opinionated.
