because I’m not going to spent another weekend migrating again
Discussed aplenty.

Short answer no.
You’ve got months to chip away at it:
You can do it!
Got it. That gives me plenty of time to switch to another wm.
Whilst I agree with @tekstryder -yes there is plenty of time to migrate- there are a couple of things I observed.
For starters, the plugins I was using are not there any more for .54
Will they come back?
The .55 wiki is so much “poorer” than .54
Barely any examples that did help understanding.
Some beautiful scripts like zooming are not there (boy I miss that and wonder how can I do it with lua)
Animations are… dark side of the moon , to me that is.
I do understand and expect things to improve in the wiki over time.
I am not bitching over the .lua
Over a few hours, I was able to migrate to a fairly acceptable environment. Still away from what I want. But I am sure we will get there.
As an ex IT admin, I am comfortable with changes/evolutions as long as I understand them. But, in my case, I know nothing about lua, never used it.
I understand the user’s frustration. The lua hype was nicely launched and created huge expectations to the community.
But the work is awesome and I can’t realy express how thankful I am.
Hyprland is disrupting the DE market in more ways than one.
Cheers
